Seven Things That Make Mather & Co Different

Based in Wilmslow, south of Manchester city centre, Mather & Co is a northern based design company that has built some of the world’s most exciting visitor attractions. In every project it works to engage, innovate and create experiences for audiences across sport, heritage, commercial and retail environments. But what sets us apart from our competitors, and makes us truly different? In no particular order, here are seven differences that we think make us truly unique:

  1. Relationships

Design Company

We’re a close-knit friendly bunch and proud of our northern roots. Small enough to care, but big enough to take on projects of any size and go the extra mile. We build genuine, lasting relationships with our clients.

  1. Commercial Mindset

Design Company

As ex-owners and operators of attractions, Mather & Co approaches all its designs with a commercial and operational mindset, which allows us to budget for projects with realism and pragmatism as well as first class design and interpretation. For one of our previous projects Coronation Street: The Tour, we teamed up with operating group Continuum and ITV to transform the original Coronation Street studios and set into an engaging behind-the-scenes tour.

  1. Collaborative Working

Design Company

The whole team, whatever their role, is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck-in to help our Clients and one another out when deadlines loom large.

  1. Versatility

Design Company

Each team member has a different skill and expertise, which allows us to work across different target sectors. We have specialists in graphics and 3D design right through to content and build.

  1. Creativity

Design Company

We’re always looking to work and embrace new styles of thinking. Working with play designers, theatre designers, architects, researchers and other partners to enhance the experience and engage with our audiences and making our visitor attractions a place where people want to return.

  1. Technology

Design Company

We understand the effect our digital world is having on visitor attraction design and know how to extend your brand online. Having been heavily involved with the design of the Paralympic exhibitions we also know how to be inclusive to all impairments and disabilities when we design your experience to make them a place that everyone can enjoy.

  1. Longevity

Design Company

We enjoy seeing the project through to completion and are involved in the full process, way beyond simply designing it. We’re involved in all stages of the build to the final completion and opening of a project.
