This week has seen Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United cement their places as the Premier League leaders and officially start their title charge. We always keep an eye on the clubs we’ve worked with and are really pleased to see them doing so well.
The first of our title challengers to receive the full Mather & Co. treatment was Manchester City, back in 2004. The club had moved in just one year before when we were enlisted to develop their interactive museum plans. The museum since went on to win awards as a tourism attraction thanks to our innovative touch screen displays, audiovisual theatre and interactive exhibitions.
When the work was complete on The Emirates Stadium, the new home of Arsenal FC, we got started on the museum. With such a wealth of history and success it was a challenge to squeeze into the display all of the trophies and artifacts. We incorporated interactive exhibits throughout the museum alongside traditional galleries to provide the comprehensive Arsenal experience.
In 2008, the year Man United won the Premier and Champions League double, we were enlisted to work on a new exhibition for the ever evolving Manchester United Museum and Tour. Arguably the world’s most famous football club, Man United wanted to celebrate the most successful ever manager with an interactive ‘Audience with Sir Alex’. The display allows fans to meet the legendary manager in his office and listen to him reflect about his years in charge, an opportunity no fan should miss.
If you’re a fan of football but sit on the fence when it comes to picking teams, then pop into the one stop football history shop that is the National Football Museum, another of our creations that encapsulates the sport’s best ever moments.
